1 Down, 51 to go!

I went for a 2 hour walk/run around Jinhae on Saturday. I didn’t really know where I was going, but I knew I was slowly going up one of the mountains surrounding the city. It was really hot that day and I was feeling pretty tired when I realized how high I had climbed. I stopped and looked out over Jinhae and felt an overwhelming sense of Gods presence in that moment. I knew that He had led me to that exact spot at that exact time for a reason. Feeling the Holy Spirit so heavy on me, I just began to pray for the city. The gist of my prayer was “…well God, you brought me here (Korea), so do whatever it is that you want to do with me.” I felt a lot of peace after that moment…things just made a little bit more sense to me.

It has officially been exactly one week since I first left home. The feeling is still a little strange, but each day brings the reality more into existence. With the experiences I’ve already had, I almost feel as if its been months since I left! My first week of school was a success and I begin week two in about 8 hours. I’ve taken some photos of my new surroundings, so check them out! Look out for a little tour video to come of my neighborhood and stingy apartment…
